Ukraine Emergency Appeal

The MCC and Canadian Red Cross for emergency relief are currently working in the Ukraine to respond to this immediate crisis. Both partners will reach out and assist those in need in the Ukraine. The Canadian government has agreed to match all individual donations made to the Canadian Red Cross up to and including March 18th 2022 to a maximum of $10 million. Please read the information below, and if you choose to donate, you may do so directly for the Red Cross, and MCC both.
As always, in Him

The people of Ukraine need our help. Russian military forces are invading Ukraine by land, sea and air. Missiles have already struck several major cities in Ukraine, including the capital city Kyiv. Early reports show that casualties will only grow as Russian soldiers continue to enter the country.

As you may know, MCC was founded to respond to the crisis in Ukraine in the 1920s, opening soup kitchens to provide relief to thousands of starving families. This is who are, together. We won’t stop now.

I thought you may like to know that MCC has launched a Ukraine Crisis Appeal, and we need your support.

Emergency Gift

Right now, our local partners are assessing the situation to provide an appropriate response.

Your emergency gift will reach families and churches in Ukraine affected by this crisis, providing things like emergency housing and locally-purchased emergency supplies like blankets and food.

Your generosity will also scale up existing programs to help internally displaced people. If you can help, please support the Ukraine Crisis Appeal right now. Every little bit helps make a big impact.

And please join us—and thousands of concerned Canadians of faith—to pray for the people of Ukraine right now.

Turkey and Syria – The MCC is also at work in Turkey and Syria after the devastating earthquakes, terrific loss of life and destruction. Currently (March 2023) the death toll has surpassed 50,000. If you would like to help out, please consider donating to the MCC using the donate button found above.

Thank you. We are so grateful that when disaster strikes, you are there.
