The Anglican Relief and Development Fund Canada welcomes Archbishop John Chew Hiang Chea – Primate of the Anglican Province of Southeast Asia, Bishop of Singapore and Chairman of the Global South Primates Steering Committee – to a weekend of special gatherings in Vancouver. Please join us at these events to hear from this godly, global Anglican leader!

Archbishop Chew Archbishop Chew, who resides in Singapore, was elected in March 2010 to a second term as Primate of the Anglican Province of Southeast Asia. He holds a Doctorate in Old Testament Studies from Sheffield University (1982) and was principal of Trinity Theological College (Singapore) from 1991 until be was elected Bishop of Singapore in 2000. In April of this year, he succeeded Archbishop Peter Akinola (Nigeria) as chairman of the Global South Primates Steering Committee – a group that represents the vast majority of active, committed Anglicans worldwide.
